# How to add one or more tags to your students

Tags are designed to help you organize and filter your students by keywords. 

There are two ways to add a tag to a student: 

**From the attendance list:**

1.  Navigate to **Students**.
    
2.  Click on the “Tags” field of a student

3. Write down the tag’s name and click on **Create new tag**.

4. Choose a color for the tag and select “save”.

**From the student’s profile:**

1.  Navigate to **Students**.
    
2. Access the profile of the desired student.
    
3. Click on the **Add tag** button located below the profile picture of the student.

4.Write down the tag’s name and click on **Create new tag**.

5. Choose a color for the tag and select “save”.
