How to Fix an Error That Blocks the Email Field in a User's Profile
When the email address in a user's profile is incorrect or there is some issue with it (disabled, storage exceeded, etc.), the following error may appear:

It is a warning that alerts that the account is incorrect and blocks that field, so even if you try to configure a different address, the same error will continue to appear.
¿How to fix it?
If you click on the red exclamation icon that appears right next to it, it will show you a message indicating that you need to resolve the issue before you can mark that account as correct again.
If you have confirmed that the account is correct, press the yellow button that appears in that same window labeled “Mark problem solved.”

And you will be able to save that address again or modify it to a different one.
_Remember that if the root problem is not resolved, the error will occur again. Therefore, it is very important to confirm with the user that the account is correct_.
